If you’re looking for something to do on Thursday nights in and around Boston, read on. The best part? Each of the following events and activities are free to attend, a.k.a. no cover charge!
Thursday Entertainment at Six String Grill & Stage

Featuring a variety of local country and rock acts, Six String is quickly becoming the go-to destination for live music and entertainment in the Boston MetroWest area. Six String charges zero cover on Thursdays to start your weekend on a high note.

For those ready to boogie, local country artist Tim Buono takes the stage on Thursday, August 1. Looking for something a bit more rock ‘n’ roll? The Ultra will keep you on the dancefloor all night on Thursday, August 8.
Check out the Six String events calendar for a full lineup of upcoming weekly entertainment. Thursday night shows typically start at 8pm, but we encourage you to head over early for southern-inspired bites and beverages.
Summer Thursdays with DJ Scorch at Ned Devine’s
Let’s face it: a lot of us could use a night of dancing after a long Thursday at work—who said cardio had to be boring? New to the Ned Devine’s nightlife calendar, DJ Scorch is bringing the heat every Thursday this summer. Enjoy free cover, a spacious dance floor, and delicious drinks while DJ Scorch spins all your favorites. The party starts at 10pm each week with some of your favorite hits. Thursday Night Trivia at Hurricane's at the Garden
For the inquisitive (and the hungry): wait out the commuter traffic with Thursday night trivia at Hurricane’s at the Garden. Gather your well-rounded team of trivia experts and prove you know your stuff. Topics will span across sports, music, history and more, offering a fun challenge each week. Enjoy some friendly competition; the top three scoring trivia teams will receive gift cards in addition to unlimited bragging rights.
Head over before trivia begins at 6:30pm for drinks and a bite to eat. Take advantage of Hurricane’s impressive summer drink specials: $2 Coors Light drafts, $6 Coors Light personal pitchers, and a $12 Miller High Life bucket, all offered daily. In addition, you can find $10 weekly food specials to celebrate the season. Thursday’s special is $10 pizza--the perfect brain food for your team.
